You Want a Beautiful Garden... But Something's Holding You Back

I get it. I've been there too. You drive past those gorgeous gardens in your neighborhood and think "I wish I could do that." You see beautiful flower beds on Pinterest and imagine having that in your own yard. But then reality hits...

You don't know where to start. Which plants? What colors? How do you even plan a garden that looks good all season? The information is overwhelming and confusing.

You're worried about maintenance. You don't want to spend every weekend weeding, watering, and bending over flower beds. Your back can't handle that anymore.

The information is overwhelming. Every gardening article assumes you know what "deadheading" means or what zone you're in. You just want simple, clear guidance in plain English.

You're afraid of wasting money. What if you buy the wrong plants? What if nothing grows? What if you spend all that money and end up with a disaster?

You feel like you're "too late." Maybe you think you should have started gardening when you were younger. Maybe you think beautiful gardens are for "real gardeners," not beginners.

Here's what I want you to know: You don't need a horticulture degree to create a beautiful garden. You don't need years of experience. You don't need a huge budget. And you're definitely not "too late." You just need a plan.

Introducing: The Garden Planning Workbook

I created this workbook because I needed it myself. I'm Robin, and I'm 68 years old. I've been gardening for about 5 years, mostly vegetables in my backyard. This year, I'm finally ready to plant flowers in my front yard and I'm doing it the smart way.

No wasted money on plants that won't survive. No hours spent weeding because I didn't plan for low-maintenance options. No guessing about what will look good together. Just a clear, simple plan that I can follow and now you can too. 🌱

  • Made for Beginners, By a Beginner

I'm not a horticulture expert. I'm figuring this out just like you are which means I explain things in plain English, not gardening jargon.

  • Low-Maintenance Focus

Every plant recommendation, every design choice, every tip is about creating beauty without creating work. This is for women who want gorgeous gardens, not a second job.

  • Visual Planning Tools

You'll get actual worksheets where you can sketch, color, and plan your garden before you spend a single dollar on plants. See it before you plant it.

  • Zone-Specific Guidance

Starting with Zone 5 (where I am), you'll get plant recommendations that will actually survive in your area. No more buying plants that aren't meant for your climate.

  • Learn As You Grow

This workbook grows with you. Use it to plan your first garden, then come back to it year after year as you expand or redesign.

Frequently Asked Questions

I've never gardened before. Is this really for beginners?

Absolutely! I'm a beginner too—that's exactly why this workbook works. I explain everything in plain language, no jargon. If you can follow a recipe, you can follow this workbook.

What if I'm not in Zone 5?

The planning principles work for any zone color harmony, layout planning, sun/shade assessment—all universal. The plant recommendations are Zone 5 specific for now, but you can easily substitute plants for your zone using the framework I provide. (And I'm working on guides for other zones!)

I'm worried about my back. Will this garden require lots of bending?

That's exactly what "low-maintenance" means! The whole point is creating gardens that don't require constant weeding, bending, and physical strain. I focus on perennials, proper mulching, and smart design that minimizes work.

What if I don't have a big yard?

Perfect! Smaller gardens are actually easier to maintain. The workbook includes templates for small, medium, and large gardens. Even a small flower bed can be absolutely stunning.

Is this a physical book or digital?

It's a digital PDF workbook that you can download immediately. You can print it out if you like working on paper (I do!), or fill it out digitally on your tablet. Your choice!

What if I've already started planning my garden?

Great! This workbook will help you refine your plan, make sure you haven't missed anything important, and give you confidence that your choices will work. Even experienced gardeners find the checklists and plant guides helpful.

When should I start planning?

Right now! The best time to plan is before you spend money on plants. Even if it's winter and you can't plant yet, planning now means you'll be ready to go as soon as spring arrives.

What if I don't like it?

If you go through the workbook and don't find it helpful, just email me within 30 days and I'll refund your $17. No questions asked. I want you to love it.
